Emily Verdone serves as a tax strategy advisor in our St. Charles, Illinois, office, where she focuses on helping individuals manage taxes through comprehensive financial planning. Emily partners closely with clients to help create strategies that align with their life goals, emphasizing proactive planning designed to support their long-term goals.

Emily began her career in accounting in 2015 and discovered her passion for planning soon after. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), she guides clients through complex financial decisions.

Before joining Savant, Emily served as a principal within a public accounting firm and registered investment advisory firm, where she led the financial advisory practice with a strong focus on tax strategy-driven financial planning and mentoring emerging professionals.

She holds both a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a Master of Accountancy (MAcc) from Northern Illinois University. Emily is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Illinois CPA Society, and the Financial Planning Association of Illinois.

Away from work, Emily enjoys spending time with her husband, two boys, and their dog. She loves gardening in the summer, reading, and traveling to warmer destinations during Illinois winters.
