Janet E. Petran ,
Janet has been involved in the financial services industry since 1982, first in the public accounting sector where she gained valuable experience on the tax side. She then spent 13 years with one of the country’s largest trust and wealth management banks. Since 2008 she has worked as a financial planner and advisor for several private RIA firms.
Janet co-founded Huber Financial’s Women’s Initiative called Cents of Self, whose mission is to empower women to take control of their financial future. She works to provide financial educational materials and female-only client events that give women a safe and trusting environment to share and learn together. In her practice, she works extensively with women professionals, widows, and divorced females and particularly loves watching them grow in their financial knowledge and confidence.
Janet earned a bachelor’s degree from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. She lives in Park Ridge, IL with her husband and makes frequent visits to Boston, where her daughter works and resides.
I help families ensure they can afford to educate their children, I encourage women to advocate for themselves in the workplace and control their own financial well-being, and I help seniors ensure that they live out their lives on their terms and communicate their final wishes to those they love. What could be more important than that?
