Janet E. Petran
Janet has been involved in the financial services industry since 1982, first in the public accounting sector where she gained valuable experience on the tax side. She then spent 13 years with one of the country’s largest trust and wealth management banks. Since 2008 she has worked as a financial planner and advisor for several private RIA firms.
Janet has played a leading role in running Huber Financial Advisors’ Women’s Initiative, Cents of Self, and continues to lead this effort at Savant. The initiative seeks to provide our female clients and prospective clients with educational material, events, and resources for helping women take control of their financial future. She strives to provide a safe and comfortable environment for women to ask questions and learn more about finance. In her practice, she works extensively with women professionals, widows, and divorced females and particularly loves watching them grow in their financial knowledge and confidence.
Janet earned a bachelor’s degree from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. She lives in Park Ridge, IL with her husband and makes frequent visits to Boston, where her daughter works and resides.
I help families ensure they can afford to educate their children, I encourage women to advocate for themselves in the workplace and control their own financial well-being, and I help seniors ensure that they live out their lives on their terms and communicate their final wishes to those they love. What could be more important than that?
