Bob is a financial advisor within Savant’s Family Office practice. He brings more than 35 years of wealth management and senior operating experience, working with entrepreneurs, multi-generational ultra-high net worth families, family offices, foundations, and institutional investors.
Prior to joining Savant, Bob held many leadership and client-facing roles, including market investment executive, director of investment advisory services, and senior portfolio manager at two large international banks. He also spent 12 years as part of a management team working directly with pension funds, investment banks, hedge funds, and other institutional investors while at a financial subsidiary of a multi-national corporation.
By leveraging the deep bench of specialists within Savant and his extensive professional network, Bob creates customized solutions for our clients, including the development and management of comprehensive wealth planning, tax advisory and investment management services.
Bob earned a bachelor of business administration degree in finance and marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master of business administration degree from the University of Chicago-Booth. He holds a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation and is an active member of the CFA Society of Chicago.
Bob serves on the finance and investment committees of both the Chicago Zoological Society (Brookfield Zoo) and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. He is an advocate for impact investing and is actively involved in several organizations focused on environmental, social and governance (ESG) investing and socially responsible investing. He is a member of the Chicago Booth Angel Network (CBAN-Chicago), a co-founder of a clean energy start-up in battery technology, and is active in Chicago’s start-up community as a mentor and advisor.
Bob has many philanthropic pursuits, including being a governing member ambassador and member of the Corporate Giving Committee at the Brookfield Zoo and is actively involved with Western Golf Association’s Evans Scholar Foundation where he is an alumni and volunteer.
Bob and his wife Diane have two grown sons. They enjoy boating, skiing, traveling, golf, fly fishing, music, food and wine, and spending time with family and friends.
