Bob is part of Savant’s Family Office practice and creates customized solutions to meet the needs of our clients and their family offices across multiple disciplines and generations. He has been involved in the financial services industry since 1985 and brings to Savant more than three decades of wealth management experience, working with ultra-high net worth clients, family offices, foundations, and institutional investors. Prior to joining Savant, Bob held many leadership roles, including director of investment advisory, market investment executive, and senior portfolio manager at two large international banks. He spent 12 years as part of a management team working directly with pension funds, investment banks, hedge funds, and other institutional investors while at a financial subsidiary of a multi-national corporation.
Bob earned a bachelor of business administration degree in finance and marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master of business administration degree from the University of Chicago-Booth focusing on finance, statistics, and business policy.
Bob serves on the finance and investment committees of both the Chicago Zoological Society (Brookfield Zoo) and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. He is an advocate for impact investing and is actively involved in several organizations focused on environmental, social and governance (ESG) investing and socially responsible investing. He is active in Chicago’s start-up community as a mentor/advisor, a member of the Chicago Booth Angel Network and a co-founder of a clean energy start-up in battery technology. Bob is a governing member ambassador and member of the Corporate Giving Committee at the Brookfield Zoo and actively involved with Western Golf Association’s Evans Scholar Foundation where he is an alumni and volunteer.
Bob and his wife Diane have two grown sons. They enjoy boating, skiing, traveling, golf, fly fishing, music, food and wine, and spending time with family and friends.
