Your Mental Health Stimulus for COVID and Life’s Challenges
August 12 @ 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm CST
Life has been disrupted in so many ways. Certainly the COVID-19 virus has rocked the world, but so have many other situations in our lives. It can feel like there’s little solid ground, with the way forward tenuous and uncertain.
- How do we cope with this and other tragedies or grief, and come out sane on the other side?
- How do we help our family members do the same?
- Will we ever regain a sense of normalcy, and how do we get there?
- What can we learn that applies not only to the present but to every grief we experience in life?
Amy Florian, MA, Fellow in Thanatology, and CEO of Corgenius will help us understand the neuroscience and psychology behind our emotional experience as we continue to deal with the ups and downs of the COVID crisis and the implications. She will connect the grief we’re feeling individually and as a society right now, with the grief of our life transitions and difficult losses. She will then share science-based tips and skills to help us and our families adjust and navigate our way through this and all the crises we encounter. There will be time for your questions and comments, so you can participate as well.
