Savant Capital Management, an independent nationally-recognized fee-only wealth management firm, is pleased to announce the addition of several new team members to its Rockford office and to recognize the achievements of current employees.

Additions to Team:

Drake Grindle joined Savant in December as an associate in the firm’s Accelerated Career Development Program. This advisor training program allows employees to gain broad exposure to the foundational areas of Savant while acquiring valuable knowledge and experience for a successful transition to a financial advisor.

Grindle has been involved in the financial services industry since 2015. Prior to joining Savant, he was a senior assurance associate at a public accounting firm. Grindle is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society.

Lisa Rovinski joined Savant in January as a front desk receptionist. She is responsible for welcoming guests, handling front office workflow and deliveries, answering incoming calls, preparing reports for client meetings, and providing support to the Savant team. 

Rovinski has been involved in the administrative services industry since 1988. 

Matthew Runyan recently joined Savant as an information technology specialist. He is responsible for supporting and maintaining Savant’s computing and communication systems. 

Prior to his current role, Runyan served as an IT intern with the firm. He earned an associates degree of applied science in Cisco networking and a second associates degree of applied science in data assurance/IT security, both from Rock Valley College. 

Jill Shachter joined Savant in December as a human resources generalist. She is a member of the Administrative Team and is responsible for administration of the applicant tracking system, the sourcing, interviewing and selection of candidates, employee relations, training, development and engagement, and compensation administration.

Shachter has been involved in the human resources industry since 1990. Prior to joining Savant, she was the hospital manager at a local animal hospital and a human resources generalist and business partner at a local health system. Shachter is a member of Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and Rockford Area SHRM.

Employee Achievements:

Portfolio Accounting Supervisor Jacob Davenport, Financial Planner Teryn Fitzgerald, and Financial Planning and Tax Specialist Kelli Peterson have earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional certification. The CFP® certification process, administered by CFP Board, identifies to the public that those individuals who have been authorized to use the CFP® certification marks in the U.S. have met rigorous professional standards and have agreed to adhere to the principles of integrity, objectivity, competence, fairness, confidentiality, professionalism and diligence when dealing with clients.

Financial Planning and Tax Services Coordinator Julie Saez-Gimeno received the Registered ParaplannerSM designation. To receive this designation, Saez-Gimeno completed a course of study encompassing the financial planning process, the five disciplines of financial planning and general financial planning concepts, terminology and product categories. Additionally, she passed an end-of-course examination that tested her ability to synthesize complex concepts and apply theoretical concepts to real-life situations.

Trader Michael Homan earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Rasmussen College. Homan is responsible for processing trades, cash management, and portfolio rebalancing.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, Certified Financial Planner™ and CFP® in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.
