Ahmed Hassanein is the chief financial officer in Savant’s Chicago Loop office, where he leads the firm’s financial strategy, operational discipline, and long-range planning. Ahmed plays a central role in strengthening the infrastructure that supports advisors. He partners closely with executive leadership and private equity sponsors to advance the firm’s long-term growth strategy and acquisition activity.
Ahmed has worked for more than 30 years in the financial services industry, including C-suite roles at private equity-backed firms such as Cetera Financial Group, Osaic (formerly Advisor Group), and Signature Estate and Investment Advisors. Throughout his career, he has helped organizations navigate rapid expansion by building strong financial systems, improving reporting and analytics, guiding capital allocation, and driving integration across newly acquired firms. He believes that responsible scaling, supported by clear financial insight, disciplined governance, and well-designed processes, creates the foundation for long-term success.
Ahmed’s work at Savant reflects his commitment to the fiduciary model. Although his focus lies in finance and operations, he is drawn to environments where decisions put clients first and where financial stewardship enables advisors to spend more time with the people they serve and less time navigating complexity.
Earlier in his career, Ahmed played a key role in strengthening financial infrastructure at companies undergoing transformational growth, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity investment, and margin expansion initiatives. He finds meaning in helping leadership teams pursue strategic ambitions with confidence, knowing they are supported by a durable and resilient financial foundation.
Ahmed earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Maryland and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in finance from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
