Amy C. Sewell

Amy Sewell serves as a senior manager of Tax & Consulting, where she focuses on tax compliance and advisory services for high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and closely held businesses. She began working at Savant in 2026 when Exencial Wealth Advisors joined the firm.

With more than 25 years in the accounting profession, Amy has a deep understanding of complex tax matters shaped by a career that spans private accounting, real estate investment firms, and public accounting. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), she began her career in private accounting, advancing from staff accountant to chief financial officer roles within real estate investment organizations before shifting her focus to tax planning and compliance for high-net-worth families.

At Savant, Amy directs tax compliance and planning, including ultra-high-net-worth individuals and multi-entity family structures. She works closely with attorneys to help families navigate estate-related tax matters, offering clarity and steady guidance during significant life transitions. Her collaborative approach also supports clients during entity structure and business planning discussions, helping to ensure transparency around tax considerations and available resources.

Amy plays a key role in developing and mentoring tax professionals, including CPAs, with an emphasis on efficiency, quality, and consistency. She has led staff development initiatives that strengthened quality control and improved scalability across teams. In addition, she was part of the implementation team for a taxpayer collaboration and document management platform and served as lead manager of the intern training program.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Texas Tech University in Lubbock. Amy is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Amy enjoys attending live music events, traveling with her adult children, and spending time with family and friends. She also shares her home with a bichon mix who, in his later years, prefers naps to adventure.
