Ashley E. Tate

Ashley Tate is a director of accounting & business advisory in the Clinton, South Carolina, office, where she helps individuals, families, and businesses navigate tax planning, tax compliance, and financial planning decisions.

A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) who holds the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) credential from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Ashley brings an informed perspective to helping clients align their tax strategies with their broader financial goals. She is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and holds the Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation.

Ashley has been involved in the financial services industry since 2011. Before joining Savant Tax & Consulting, Ashley worked with Peay & Associates, LLC, CPAs, which joined the firm in 2023. Her background in accounting, taxation, and financial planning allows her to deliver thoughtful guidance tailored to each client’s individual circumstances.

Ashley stays actively involved in both her profession and her community. She is a member of the AICPA, serves as chair of the Finance Committee at Broad Street United Methodist Church, and is vice chair of the board of the Laurens County Healthcare System through an appointment by the governor of South Carolina.

Ashley earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minor in economics from Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and a Master of Professional Accountancy (MPAcc) with a concentration in taxation from Clemson University.

When she is not working with clients, Ashley enjoys spending time by the water, cheering on the Wofford Terriers and Clemson Tigers, and attending country music concerts.
