Barry J. Frantz

Barry Frantz is a regional director of Tax & Consulting, where he focuses on tax planning and consulting for individuals and businesses from our Cedar Rapids, Iowa, office.

Barry has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. He joined Savant in 2022 when Terry Lockridge & Dunn became part of the firm, continuing a career that began in public accounting and corporate finance. His background includes roles as an accountant with Lueken & Associates and as a controller for the Human Resources Center, giving him a well-rounded perspective on tax strategy, financial reporting, and long-term planning.

An Enrolled Agent (EA) licensed by the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Barry represents clients before the Internal Revenue Service and supports them with proactive tax planning and compliance. He also maintains a strong connection to his community, serving on the City of Marion Investment Oversight Committee and participating in local leadership initiatives through the Marion Chamber of Commerce.

Barry earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and management from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. He and his wife, Chris, have three children: Zach, who attends the University of Texas at San Antonio; Alex, who lives in North Liberty, Iowa, and is a senior tax associate for Savant Tax & Consulting; and Jaycee, who attends the University of Iowa. Barry enjoys playing golf, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
