Brent Martinson serves as a financial planner in Savant’s St. Paul, Minnesota, office, where he works closely with individuals and families on retirement cash flow projections, retirement income structuring, and estate planning strategies. He also supports clients through insurance needs analyses, debt management strategies, and education funding decisions, bringing a thoughtful and organized approach to each engagement.
A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, Brent has more than 20 years of experience in financial services, helping individuals and organizations navigate retirement planning, investments, insurance, and estate strategies. He works closely with clients to design solutions that support long-term financial well-being, with a strong emphasis on workplace retirement plans, including 401(k), 403(b), and deferred compensation programs. His background includes oversight of compliance and sales supervision, strengthening his ability to guide clients through complex financial decisions.
Before joining Savant, Brent held roles at Fidelity Investments as a trader and investment consultant and later at Transamerica Retirement Solutions as a financial planner and general securities principal. He most recently served as a financial planner with Empower Advisory Group, where he supported C-suite executives, physicians, and advanced practice providers with comprehensive wealth management strategies.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota.
Brent remains active in his community through the Eagan Hockey Association, where he also coaches youth hockey. He enjoys traveling, golfing, and fishing, as well as spending time with his wife, Andrea, and their two sons, Lucas and Ty.
