Charles “Chuck” Bean III is a managing partner and financial advisor in our Westwood, Massachusetts, office. As the oldest of four boys, he built his career on the discipline and determination he learned while working long days on his family’s farm in Westwood. That upbringing shaped a practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving that carried through his early work running a landscaping business, painting houses, and managing a Boston pub. After earning his bachelor’s degree in finance from Boston College, he entered the financial services profession with a clear goal: to help people make better financial decisions by giving them honest, straightforward guidance.
In 1995, Chuck’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish Heritage Financial Services and affiliate with an independent broker-dealer, Commonwealth Financial Network. Five years later, he restructured Heritage into a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) to help ensure the firm delivered independent, fiduciary financial planning and investment guidance.
In 2023, Chuck stepped down as CEO at Heritage, becoming its chairman. He then partnered with the CEO to guide the firm’s strategy, strengthen industry relationships, introduce new clients, and oversee the firm’s financial health. Building Heritage from a small one-man band to a successful 50-person independent wealth management organization managing $4 billion, Chuck’s strong leadership skills helped position the firm for its next chapter when joining Savant in 2026.
Over his 35-plus years in the industry, Chuck built a reputation for thoughtful leadership, steady growth, a relentless pursuit of success, and a client-first philosophy. He also developed a talent for building teams and creating a culture that rewards exceptional long-term thinking and strong relationships. His work has been recognized in Barron’s, Forbes, and The Wall Street Journal, and he’s earned many of the profession’s notable honors.
Chuck’s awards include repeated rankings on Barron’s Top 100 Independent Financial Advisors and Top 1200 Financial Advisors1, and an induction into the Barron’s Hall of Fame in 2019 as one of an elite group of advisors appearing in the Top 100 Advisor rankings at least 10 times2. He’s also received recognition in Forbes’ Best‑in‑State Wealth Advisors3, Forbes’ America’s Top 250 Wealth Advisors4, the Charles Schwab Best‑in‑Business IMPACT Award in 20175, and multiple firmwide recognitions from well-known industry publications. He’s a Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®) and a Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®).
Active in his community, Chuck is the founder of the Heritage Charitable Fund and the Boston Benefits Foundation, where he serves as its president. He sits on the Boston MS Walk Committee, is on the Board of Trustees for the Greater New England Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and is a Capital Committee member of the Norfolk Golf Club. In addition, he supports several local charities and mentors many aspiring young financial services professionals. Chuck is an avid Boston sports fan, enjoys playing golf, and spending time with his wife, Kerri, and their four adult children.
