Cory Barel serves as a financial advisor in our Wellesley, Massachusetts office, where he enjoys helping clients align their values with their long-term financial goals. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, Cory delivers comprehensive planning strategies including proactive income and estate tax planning, retirement cash‑flow projections and income optimization, executive compensation analysis, insurance reviews, debt management, wealth transfer and philanthropic planning, and education funding.
Cory began his career in 2019 at Savant’s Rockford, Illinois headquarters as an associate advisor, gaining hands-on experience with the firm’s planning process and learning from Savant’s advisors. He graduated cum laude from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts, with a bachelor’s degree in economics and minors in finance and entrepreneurship.
Originally from Freeport, Illinois, Cory developed a love for travel after moving frequently throughout his childhood, and these experiences helped to shape his appreciation for new places, diverse perspectives, and helping others navigate life’s transitions.
Outside of work, he enjoys playing golf and tennis, and he’s an enthusiastic supporter of the Denver Broncos, Denver Nuggets, and Manchester United. Now based in the Boston area, Cory can often be found exploring the city with his girlfriend, Courtnay, and their Cavalier dog, Charlie.
