Dennis’s Approach
Dennis J. Reilly
AIF®, MA
Financial Advisor
Overview
Dennis Reilly is a financial advisor who works out of our Vienna, Virginia, office. He focuses on retirement and tax planning, with a particular focus on helping financially secure clients use their wealth in ways that align with their personal priorities.
Many of the clients Dennis works with have spent decades saving diligently and making responsible financial decisions. Even after achieving financial security, they may remain uncertain about how much they can comfortably spend or find it difficult to shift from accumulating wealth to enjoying it. Dennis helps clients understand what their resources can support, establish clear guardrails for their decisions, and spend with greater clarity and purpose.
His approach combines detailed financial analysis, tax-aware planning, and thoughtful conversations about what matters most to each client. By connecting financial decisions to personal priorities, Dennis helps clients balance enjoying life today with supporting their long-term security and flexibility.
An Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®), Dennis previously founded and served as principal advisor of an advice-only registered investment advisory firm. Earlier in his career, he spent 15 years in IT consulting and the computer software industry, where he led teams providing data and analytics solutions for government clients. That experience helped shape his disciplined, systems-oriented approach to financial planning and his ability to make complex decisions easier to understand.
Dennis earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Northern Colorado and a Master of Arts (MA) in economics from American University in Washington, D.C. He also completed a certificate in financial planning from the University of Georgia. He lives in McLean, Virginia, with his wife and three children and enjoys woodworking.
