Doug is a manager of Savant Tax & Consulting in our Lewes, DE office. He is an Enrolled Agent (EA), licensed by the Department of Treasury to practice before the Internal Revenue Service.

As a child, Doug wanted to be a doctor so he could help people. After discovering he can’t handle the sight of blood, he now helps people try to minimize their tax liabilities with “outside the box” tax planning.

Doug has been involved in the tax industry since 1987. Prior to joining Savant, he was a senior tax manager for a CPA firm in N. Hollywood, CA where he reviewed tax returns, both business and personal, for high-net-worth entertainment clients.

Doug earned a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University.

Doug is the oldest of four from Lancaster, PA. He has been living and working as a tax accountant in the entertainment industry for the past 15 years, working with some of the most famous entertainers in the world, and relocated to Lewes, DE to be closer to family. Doug has been a drummer since the age of 5 and enjoys photography and movies. He’s taking online classes for screenwriting.
