Edward K. McDougal

Edward McDougal serves as a financial advisor in Savant’s Lincolnshire, Illinois, office, where he focuses on values‑based financial planning for individuals, multigenerational families, and C-suite leaders. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, he works closely with clients to align their financial strategies with their personal priorities, offering guidance across retirement and estate planning, income and estate tax planning, retirement cash flow projections, retirement income optimization, insurance analysis, debt management, and education funding.

He provides comprehensive planning support rooted in a holistic understanding of each client’s goals. Edward began his career in the financial services industry in 2019 and previously served as a client specialist for an international broker‑dealer firm. Edward earned a bachelor’s degree in international relations with a minor in economics from Wheaton College in Illinois.

Beyond his planning work, Edward is an active mentor and tutor and remains deeply committed to community involvement. He serves on the board of River City Community Development Center and volunteers as an usher for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra when it performs at his alma mater.

He is also an engaged member of Lincoln Park Community Church.

A world traveler who has visited 64 countries, Edward enjoys connecting with people from different cultures, yet he especially values time spent in Chicago. He spends his weekends golfing, reading, and enjoying time with family and friends.
