Elizabeth “Libby” Muldowney serves as a financial advisor in our Rockford, Illinois, office, where she focuses on comprehensive financial planning with an emphasis on behavioral finance. She blends technical planning knowledge with an understanding of human decision‑making to help individuals and families make financial choices that align with their lives and not just their balance sheets.
As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor® (CRPC®), and Behavioral Financial Advisor™ (BFA™), Libby provides a wide range of planning services, including wealth transfer and philanthropy planning, proactive income and estate tax strategies, retirement cash flow projections, retirement income optimization, insurance assessments, debt management guidance, and education funding strategies.
Libby has more than 20 years of experience in financial services. Before becoming a financial advisor in 2014, she supported Savant’s clients as a client services representative and previously worked with qualified retirement plans as part of the firm’s Retirement Plan Services team after joining Savant in 2008. Earlier in her career, she served as a customer service manager at a local bank, where she handled audits, compliance, daily operations, problem resolution, and new client acquisition.
A founding member of Wise Women, a Savant initiative dedicated to inspiring and empowering women to pursue strong financial futures, Libby remains deeply engaged in the Rockford community. She volunteers with several nonprofits, supports local events, serves on committees, and sits on the Illinois Growth Enterprises board. She is also a graduate of the Leadership Rockford program through the Rockford Chamber of Commerce.
Libby earned a bachelor’s degree in economics with a focus on finance from Rockford University.
She and her husband, Mike, live in Belvidere, Illinois, with their combined four children. She enjoys reading, traveling, staying active, and spending time with friends and family.
