Sam is a financial advisor in Savant’s Birmingham, AL office. He has a membership interest in Savant.

As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, Sam is knowledgeable in all areas of financial planning, including wealth transfer and philanthropy, proactive income and estate tax planning, retirement cash flow projections, retirement income optimization, insurance needs analyses, debt management, and education funding.

Sam has been involved in the financial services industry since 1990. He was a partner at Bridgeworth from 2015 until it joined with Savant in 2023. Prior to joining Bridgeworth, Sam helped start a wealth management division at a local accounting firm where assets grew to over $1 billion under advisement. He has worked with hundreds of families, assisting them with defining their financial goals and creating a plan of action.

Sam is a member of the Financial Planning Association of North Alabama. He enjoys serving on boards of local charitable organizations and ushering at Church of the Highlands.

Sam earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Samford University in Birmingham. He and his wife Joy have three adult children who all live in the Birmingham area.
