John Frisch serves as managing partner and financial advisor in Savant’s Manassas, Virginia, office, where he focuses on comprehensive financial planning for individuals and families. John is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) credential from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, John assists clients with wealth transfer and philanthropy, proactive income and estate tax planning, retirement cash flow projections, retirement income optimization, insurance reviews, debt management, and education funding strategies.
Involved in the financial services industry for more than 40 years, John began his career in 1985 as an assistant controller for The Rushmore Group, a mutual fund company, and later managed its broker-dealer. He went on to serve as vice president of Voss & Co., an independent broker-dealer, before founding Alliant Wealth Advisors in 1995. He led the firm until it joined Savant in 2022.
A strong advocate for local engagement, John founded the Prince William Financial Institute to expand education and professional connections for financial professionals across Prince William, Virginia. He serves as treasurer for Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Children’s Intervention Services (CIS) and is the citizen member of the volunteer advisory board for the Prince William County Length of Service Award Program (LoSAP), which supports volunteer fire and emergency medical services personnel. He also volunteered for 15 years on the three-county Battlefield Advisory Board for Branch Bank and Trust Company and served four years on the Finance Committee for the Prince William Chamber of Commerce.
Motivated by a deep commitment to supporting families affected by the September 11 attacks, John has volunteered as a docent at the 9/11 Pentagon Memorial in Arlington since the program began in 2009.
John earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and information systems from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. He enjoys competitive ultra‑running (which involves running distances of 50 km or more), boating, and cheering on Washington, D.C.’s professional sports teams. He lives with his family on the Occoquan River in Manassas.
