Matthew “Matt” Carron serves as a financial advisor in our Rockland, Massachusetts, office. A CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL PLANNER® professional, he is knowledgeable in all areas of financial planning, including wealth transfer and philanthropy, proactive income and estate tax planning, retirement cash flow projections, retirement income optimization, insurance needs analyses, debt management, and education funding.
Matt grew up in Hopedale, Massachusetts, where athletics shaped his early years. He played basketball at Dean Junior College (now Dean College) in Franklin, Massachusetts, before transferring to Northeastern University in Boston, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology. His interest in human behavior, combined with a desire to help others, led him to the May Institute. There, he taught children with autism and brain injuries, an experience that strengthened his commitment to guiding people through complex challenges.
In his late twenties, Matt shifted toward financial services after his parents won a life‑changing state lottery prize. Motivated to help his mother protect her future, he entered the investment field with Fidelity. He advanced from answering phones to serving high‑net‑worth households, managing account service needs and asset trades.
Matt later joined a boutique financial planning firm, where he provided in‑depth planning and supported a family office structure for a client with $100 million in assets. He joined Heritage Financial in 2007 as a senior wealth manager and joined Savant in 2026 when Heritage joined the firm.
Matt and his wife, Shannon, have three sons. Their oldest is a senior at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida, with plans of becoming a commercial pilot, their middle son is studying physical therapy at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut, and their youngest is a sophomore at Whitman-Hanson Regional High School in Hanson, Massachusetts. Away from work, he enjoys time with his family and the company of close friends he has known since the second grade.
