Ryan Monette serves as a financial advisor in Savant’s Rockford, Illinois, office, where he focuses on helping individuals and families organize their financial lives and build clear, effective plans for the future. He works closely with clients who are interested in delegating the important responsibility of managing investment wealth and implementing financial planning strategies. His approach to building a customized financial plan and then implementing the plan strives to allow clients to focus on what they are most interested in and is designed to help create a smooth transition from a disorganized plan to a clear plan and path forward.
Involved in the financial services industry since 2006, Ryan builds customized financial plans designed to support long-term goals. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®), he provides guidance across all areas of planning, including wealth transfer, philanthropy strategies, proactive income and estate tax planning, retirement cash flow projections, retirement income optimization, insurance analyses, debt management, and education funding.
Before becoming an advisor, Ryan served on Savant’s Planning Team, where he collaborated with advisors to produce investment analyses, prepare and present financial plans, and coordinate implementation. He developed deep knowledge in documenting goals, designing tax strategies, and optimizing estate and philanthropic priorities.
Ryan contributes to the community as treasurer of the Rockford Public Library Foundation and as a member of Rotary International’s Roscoe, Illinois, chapter. In 2019, the Rockford Chamber named him one of its “40 Leaders Under Forty.”1
He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance with a minor in economics from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. Ryan and his wife, Bridget, live in Roscoe, Illinois, with their three children. The family stays busy cheering on and coaching a wide variety of kids’ activities, from sports to theater and dance. When they’re not on the go, they enjoy exploring the outdoors, traveling around the country, and hosting gatherings in their restored 1960s basement bar.
