Managing partner and financial advisor Sammy Azzouz works out of our Westwood, Massachusetts, office. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNING® professional, Sammy is knowledgeable in numerous areas of financial planning, including wealth transfer and philanthropy, proactive income and estate tax planning, corporate retirement planning, business succession planning, and advanced investment strategies.
He helps high-net-worth families create comprehensive financial plans, manage their wealth, and coordinate many aspects of their financial lives. His practice focuses on guiding clients toward their retirement goals and advising business owners on tax-efficient strategies to help extract capital and exit their companies on their own terms.
Early in his career, he served as lead advisor for an investment firm run by an estate planning group, where he drafted estate planning documents, administered estates, conducted tax research, and worked closely with a robust trust department in addition to his financial planning and investment responsibilities. He then built a national wealth management practice for a large money manager, where he also served as a portfolio strategist.
Sammy later became president and CEO of Heritage Financial, where he led a dynamic organization that focused on helping provide comprehensive wealth management services to clients. In addition to his leadership role, Sammy served on the Investment Committee, worked closely with a select group of high-net-worth clients, and spent time cultivating relationships with prospective clients who fit the firm’s approach. Heritage Financial joined Savant in 2026, and Sammy’s role allows him to focus on serving clients and business development.
A published author, he wrote the book Beyond The Basics: Maximizing, Allocating, and Protecting Your Capital, which focuses on key decisions that help individuals grow and safeguard their wealth. He also shares his views on financial planning and investing through his blog, The Boston Advisor, and hosts the Wealthy Behavior podcast. In 2023, Investopedia named Sammy one of its Top 100 Financial Advisors in the United States1, and in 2024, the publication selected him as a founding member of its Advisor Council. He continues to serve on the Advisor Council.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Toronto and a Juris Doctor (JD) from the University of Maryland.
When he steps away from serving clients and leading teams, Sammy enjoys reading, golfing, and spending time with his wife and their three children.
