As a lead advisor and financial advisor in Savant’s Middleton, Wisconsin office, Sarah McGinniss helps individuals and families navigate the full spectrum of financial planning. Sarah focuses on wealth transfer and philanthropy, proactive income and estate tax strategies, retirement cash‑flow projections, retirement income optimization, insurance evaluations, debt management, and education funding.
Sarah began her career in 2015 in forensic and litigation consulting, where she worked on data analytics for fraud investigations and mortgage-backed securities cases. She later transitioned into financial planning, bringing a strong analytical foundation to client work.
At Savant, Sarah helped launch Wise Women, which is an initiative designed to help inspire, inform, and empower women pursuing confident financial futures. In 2024, In Business magazine named her to Madison’s Forty Under 40. She also belongs to the Junior League of Madison and sits on the board of the Madison Estate Council.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Illinois, graduating as a top 10 student in the College of Business and a top 100 student in the university. Active in the industry, Sarah holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation, the Chartered Retirement Plans SpecialistSM (CRPS®) designation, and the Accredited Behavioral Finance ProfessionalSM (ABFP®) designation.
When she is not advising clients, Sarah enjoys time with her husband, Adam, and their three children. She also stays active and loves to bake.
