Tawn M. Bush

Tawn is Savant’s director of tax strategy and works in our Lincolnshire, IL office. She has a membership interest in Savant.

Tawn is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional. She was awarded the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) credential by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Tawn has been involved in the tax, accounting, and financial services industries since 1989 with extensive experience consulting on tax issues and tax planning. Prior to joining Savant, she owned a tax and accounting firm and later spent many years as a senior manager in the tax and wealth management departments of a major national accounting firm.

Tawn is a member of both the AICPA’s Personal Financial Planning Section and Tax Section. In addition, she is a long-standing member of the Illinois CPA Society.

Tawn earned a bachelor of science degree in accountancy from Northern Illinois University and a master of science in taxation (MST) degree from DePaul University.

Tawn and her husband Phil share a love for adventure – whether it’s enjoying live music, swing dancing, pontooning on their local lake, or sailing the waters of Lake Michigan. While she hasn’t yet joined Phil’s crew for the famed Chicago-to-Mackinac Island race, she loves helping deliver the boat back to Racine, WI on the “Mac Back.” Travel is one of Tawn’s greatest passions, especially across Europe. After tying the knot in Rome in 2023, she and Phil have happily become “repeat offenders” when it comes to exploring Italy.
