When life doles out lemons, I try to put things in perspective. I love reading self-help books and attending classes that push me to be the best version of myself – my ongoing goal. This leads me to make lemonade when necessary. And if lemonade doesn't work, a little Kombucha is just fine!
Tawn is a private client group leader in Savant’s Lincolnshire, IL office. She has a membership interest in Savant.
Tawn is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional. She was awarded the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) credential by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
Tawn has been involved in the tax, accounting, and financial services industries since 1989 with extensive experience consulting on tax issues and tax planning. Prior to joining Savant, she owned a tax and accounting firm and later spent many years as a senior manager in the tax and wealth management departments of a major national accounting firm.
Tawn is a member of both the AICPA’s Personal Financial Planning Section and Tax Section. In addition, she is a long-standing member of the Illinois CPA Society.
Tawn serves on the board as treasurer for Willow Women’s Center in Beloit, WI, a nonprofit organization that provides quality medical services for women facing unplanned pregnancies at no cost to their patients.
Tawn earned a bachelor of science degree in accountancy from Northern Illinois University and a master of science in taxation (MST) degree from DePaul University.
Tawn enjoys live music, from Bro-Country (Thomas Rhett, Florida Georgia Line, Luke Brian) to 80’s rock to blues. She recently discovered swing music after taking up swing dance lessons, although she’s still at the 6 count stage and not quite ready for the Lindy Hop. A few years ago, she became an aficionado of a somewhat vinegar tasting drink called Kombucha. Being cost-conscious (a typical 16-oz. bottle can cost up to $4) and super intrigued by this new carbonated drink, she began to brew her own batches. Ginger seems to be her favorite flavor in her home brews, but she really loves GT’s Cayennade. Yes, that’s cayenne pepper!
