Savant Wealth Management Acquires Tech-Focused Silicon Valley RIA
Parkworth Wealth Management Expands Savant’s Niche Strategy, California Footprint
ROCKFORD, Ill. (Aug. 5, 2025) — Savant Wealth Management, a fee-only registered investment adviser (RIA), announced it has acquired Parkworth Wealth Management, a fee-only boutique firm with approximately $216 million in assets under management (AUM) offering wealth management services to families and individuals in the tech industry throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. Savant did not disclose terms of the deal, which closed July 31, 2025.
Joining Savant as member-owners are Parkworth’s Principal and Wealth Manager, Bruce Barton, CFP®, CFA®, and Wealth Managers Michal A. Zyla, CFP®, and Max Gonda, CFP®. The firm’s Office Manager, Sheac Yee Lim-Hamilton, joined as a Savant employee.
Barton, a former engineer and author of the book “Personal Finance for Tech Professionals in Silicon Valley and Beyond,” said he chose Savant for its alignment with Parkworth’s planning-first philosophy and commitment to integrating tax preparation and planning into the wealth management experience.
“Joining Savant enables our firm to keep pace with the high-quality technology our clients expect, as well as provide a launch pad for our advisors to develop professionally and provide a deeper breadth of services,” said Barton.
The acquisition also supports Savant’s strategy to build specialization in industries and life stages where clients require more customized solutions. “We began our niche focus in 2021 by acquiring a firm that serves university professionals, and since then, we have added specializations to serve public company executives, high-net-worth women who are divorcing or are divorced, and care for aging family members,” said Brent Brodeski, CPA, CFP®, CFA®, founder and CEO of Savant. “Adding Parkworth to our roster will help us sharpen our skills to serve the needs of tech professionals as the industry navigates a pivotal moment with the development of AI and the shifting landscape of work. As we embrace AI in the growth of our own business, we look forward to how it can help empower us to provide tech-enabled advice with a distinctly human touch,” Brodeski added.
Parkworth Wealth Management, located in Los Gatos, marks Savant’s second location in California. In September 2024, Fullerton-based Kemp Financial Management also joined the firm. With Parkworth, Savant now has 44 offices in 19 states and a coast-to-coast presence. M&A advisory firm Alaris Acquisitions facilitated the transaction between Parkworth and Savant.
