LaVonne Brown serves as chief marketing and communications officer in Savant’s Rockford, Illinois, office, where she leads the firm’s brand and performance marketing along with strategic communications.
As a key leader within the firm, she actively serves as a member of both the operating and executive teams within Savant. With more than 25 years leading marketing and communications, she has helped organizations tell their stories, engage with key stakeholders, and grow and elevate their brands. In 2008, the Rockford Chamber of Commerce named her one of the community’s inaugural “40 Leaders Under 40,”1 and she has also received the Rockton Shining Star Award for her commitment to community beautification.
LaVonne earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Wisconsin–Platteville and a Master of Science (MS) in integrated marketing communications from West Virginia University. She holds the Financial Paraplanner Qualified ProfessionalSM (FPQP®) designation, which helps her better understand the planning process and the questions that matter most to clients.
LaVonne and her husband, Jeremy, reside in northern Illinois, where they enjoy the best of the region’s parks, forest preserves, and hiking and biking trails with their golden retriever, Hugo. They have raised two adult sons, Ethan and Isaac, and will soon officially welcome their future daughter-in-law, Cayla Jo, into the family.
1 2008 Chamber of Commerce 40 Leaders Under Forty: This inaugural ranking published in June 2008 is based on awarding leaders chosen from various professional fields who have distinguished themselves in their professional field or organization. Candidates for Savant were nominated by employees of their organization. Savant is a member of the Chamber and pays an annual membership fee. Savant was not required to pay to participate or win. Candidates are not required to work for Chamber member organizations; preference is given to those who do.
