Adam Cornwell serves as a managing partner and financial advisor, focusing on retirement planning, tax strategy, and long-term wealth stewardship for high-earning professionals, working out of our Beaverton, Oregon, office. He began working at Savant in 2026 when North Ridge Wealth Advisors joined the firm.
At North Ridge, he worked with professionals seeking a structured approach to complex financial decisions. As the firm’s wealth advisor and partner, his work centered on aligning investment strategy, tax planning, cash flow, and charitable goals so clients can move forward with clarity.
Adam earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Washington State University and holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designations. He approaches financial planning as a disciplined, methodical process, helping clients plan for wealth accumulation, protection, distribution, and transfer intention. He also belongs to the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA).
Adam’s path into financial planning began after a serious car accident as a teenager led him to learn firsthand how financial decisions can shape long-term outcomes. That experience sparked a lifelong commitment to investor advocacy and fee-only guidance. He later decided to pursue finance so he could help families avoid common pitfalls and make informed decisions based on their financial circumstances and goals.
Adam helps guide individuals through major life transitions, including career changes, retirement, philanthropic planning, living abroad, and the loss of a spouse. He partners closely with individuals who prefer to delegate financial responsibility and value a steady guide through both opportunity and uncertainty.
Beyond his advisory work, Adam is known for leading extended wilderness expeditions in Alaska, where careful preparation, respect for risk, and situational awareness are essential. He brings the same mindset to financial planning, emphasizing preparation, behavior, and long-term thinking. He also supports and/or volunteers for Hoya Nueva, SeaLegacy, and Adventures Without Limits.
Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Center for Financial Planning, Inc. owns and licenses the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, and CFP® (with plaque design) in the United States to Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., which authorizes individuals who successfully complete the organization's initial and ongoing certification requirements to use the certification marks.
