D. Marcus “Marc” Curles serves as a financial advisor in Savant’s Birmingham, Alabama, office. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM (CRPC®), Marc focuses on comprehensive financial planning, guiding individuals and families through wealth transfer and philanthropy strategies, proactive income and estate planning, retirement cash‑flow projections, retirement income optimization, insurance analysis, debt management, and education funding.
Marc has worked in the financial services profession since 2007. He spent more than 15 years as a financial advisor at Bridgeworth until it joined Savant in 2023. Before transitioning into financial planning, he spent 16 years as a sales manager for a manufacturing company.
He stays active in the professional community as a member of the Financial Planning Association of North Alabama and was named to the Leadership Hoover Class of 2026. Each fall, Marc officiates college football games in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). He’s also a committee chair for the JLab Birmingham Bowl and a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. At Valleydale Church, he served as a deacon and on the finance team and now contributes to the tech team. In 2011, he was inducted into the Mitchell County Sports Hall of Fame in Georgia. In 2018, he graduated from the FBI Citizens Academy Class.
Marc earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. He and his wife, Toni, have three children. In their spare time, they raise cattle, and Marc enjoys playing golf.
