Jeffrey “Jeff” Grimes is a financial advisor in our Middletown, Rhode Island, office who focuses on comprehensive financial planning, including tax strategy, retirement income, and wealth transfer.
A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Jeff works with clients across a range of planning needs, including philanthropy, proactive income and estate tax planning, retirement cash flow projections, retirement income structuring, insurance analysis, debt management, and education funding strategies. He takes a collaborative approach that helps individuals and families align financial decisions with long-term goals.
Before joining Savant, Jeff worked in the financial planning group at Corrigan Financial from 2019 until the firm joined Savant in 2025. He began his career as an audit associate with CBIZ & MHM in Boston, where he built a strong foundation in accounting and financial reporting.
Jeff remains active in the professional community. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Financial Planning Association of Rhode Island. Since 2024, he has served on the board of directors and finance committee for The Boys & Girls Clubs of Newport County, where he supports financial oversight and community initiatives.
Jeff earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration, graduating summa cum laude, and a Master of Science (MS) in accounting from the University of Rhode Island.
He lives in Newport, Rhode Island, with his wife, Marie, and their dog, Maho. Jeff enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, traveling to St. John in the United States Virgin Islands, playing golf, and following Boston sports, including the Red Sox.
