Director of Financial Planning / Member Owner
Jonathan Millican serves as director of financial planning at Savant’s Birmingham, Alabama, office. He leads Savant’s planning team and partners closely with our advisors, investment strategists, and tax specialists to deliver comprehensive, client-focused advice.
A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, Jonathan’s areas of experience include wealth transfer and philanthropy, proactive income and estate tax planning, retirement cash flow projections and income optimization, insurance needs analysis, debt management, and education funding.
He served as director of planning at Bridgeworth until it joined Savant in 2023, where he helped establish consistent processes, training, and quality standards, all of which are experiences he now applies at Savant.
An active leader in his profession and community, Jonathan is a member of the Financial Planning Association of North Alabama and the Professional Partners in Philanthropy of the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham. He was named to the Birmingham Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 (2020) and received the University of Alabama’s Jack Davis Professional Achievement Award (2015). He graduated summa cum laude from UA with a bachelor’s degree in human environmental sciences and a concentration in family financial planning.
