Nathan “Nate” Rundquist serves as a senior tax strategy advisor at our St. Paul, Minnesota, office, where he focuses on tax planning, compliance, and advisory services for high-net-worth clients.

Involved in the financial services industry since 2009, Nate has a broad background in public accounting and financial services. He previously served as tax director at PrairieView Partners before the firm joined Savant in 2025. He built his career working with national accounting firms, advising middle-market companies across a range of industries.

Nate provides tax compliance and consultation services for C corporations, S corporations, and partnerships. He also supports individuals and families with sophisticated tax matters, including estate, gift, and trust planning. His work includes representing taxpayers in federal and state tax controversies, helping clients navigate complex regulatory environments.

A North Dakota native, Nate earned a bachelor’s degree in accountancy and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of North Dakota. He also holds a Master of Science in Taxation (MST), with distinction, from DePaul University in Chicago. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in North Dakota and Minnesota.

Nate maintains active involvement in several professional organizations, including the American Institute of CPAs, the Minnesota Society of CPAs, and the North Dakota CPA Society. He also engages with his local community as a longtime member of the Minnetonka Rotary Club.

In addition to his professional work, Nate supports youth development and community initiatives. He volunteers with the Wayzata school district, coaches youth football and soccer, and serves as a board director and audit and finance committee member for The Glenn Catholic Senior Communities, which operates senior care facilities in Hopkins, Minnetonka, Buffalo, and West St. Paul, Minnesota.

Nate’s interests and hobbies include spending time with his wife and four children, time outdoors on RV trips, and watching sports.
