Overview
Kevin Phillips serves as a financial advisor in Savant’s Naperville, Illinois, office, where he focuses on comprehensive financial planning and long‑term wealth strategies. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, he guides individuals and families through major life transitions by helping them make informed decisions about income and estate tax planning, retirement income strategies, philanthropic goals, education funding, and insurance planning.
Kevin has been involved in the financial services industry since 2005. Before joining Savant, he served as a senior financial advisor at an Illinois wealth management and financial planning firm, where he helped create and implement customized financial strategies. His background also includes managing listed equity trading on the New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ for a Chicago‑based firm. As a partner and senior equity trader, he trained new traders and led a team responsible for executing complex market strategies.
He remains active across several professional and community organizations. He is a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), the Financial Planning Association (FPA), and the Financial Planning Association of Illinois Chapter. In DuPage County, he serves as a trustee for the DuPage Foundation, where he is chair of the financial operations committee and was previously chair of the investment committee. Kevin also contributes to the DuPage Foundation Next Generation Initiative and previously served on the board of the St. Charles Education Foundation.
The Kane County Chronicle named him a 2017 “Best Under 40” recipient, recognizing his professional and community involvement1.
He graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in public finance and later earned a certificate in financial planning from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
Kevin lives in St. Charles, Illinois, with his wife, Jennifer, and their four children, Tyler, Emma, Anna, and Michael. He enjoys coaching his children’s activities, golfing, fishing, and traveling.
