Alex Carlson is a financial advisor based in Dallas, where he focuses on wealth management for high-net-worth individuals, business owners, physicians, retirees, and senior executives navigating complex financial transitions. A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®), he began working at Savant in 2026 when Exencial Wealth Advisors joined the firm.
Alex partners with clients experiencing major liquidity events, including business sales, public offerings, and executive compensation payouts. He helps build coordinated strategies that address investment management, tax planning, estate design, equity compensation, retirement income, and multigenerational wealth planning. His approach centers on aligning every part of a client’s financial life so decisions remain resilient as priorities evolve.
Shortly after beginning his career in financial services in 2019, Alex worked as an investor associate. He later worked for other financial services companies as a financial consultant, assisting high-net-worth clients with complex investment solutions, financial plans, and growing a client base in Dallas–Fort Worth.
Alex continued to expand his planning capabilities at Beacon Pointe Advisors, where he collaborated with senior advisors. There, he deepened his work in holistic planning, estate reviews, and alternative investments. As a wealth advisor at Exencial, he further refined his client-first, planning-driven approach.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics with a minor in history from Texas A&M University in College Station. Away from client work, Alex stays active in the gym and enjoys college football, fishing, and boating on Cedar Creek Lake. His background in wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and judo continues to shape his disciplined, competitive mindset, and he is an avid chess player.
