Dan is a managing partner and financial advisor in Savant’s Middletown, RI office. He has a membership interest in Savant.
As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, Dan is knowledgeable in all areas of financial planning, including wealth transfer and philanthropy, proactive income and estate tax planning, retirement cash flow projections, retirement income optimization, insurance needs analyses, debt management, and education funding. In addition, he is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) credential, issued by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
Dan has been involved in the financial services industry since 1982. He founded Corrigan Financial in 1989 and served as its principal shareholder until it joined with Savant in 2025. Prior to founding Corrigan, he practiced as a CPA with the accounting firms of Ernst & Whinney (now Ernst & Young) and Rooney, Plotkin & Willey, CPAs.
Dan is a member of the AICPA, the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants (RISCPA), and the Financial Planning Association of Rhode Island. He serves as a trustee of St. Barnabas Church in Portsmouth, RI, as a trustee of the Boys and Girls Club of Newport County, as a trustee of Newport Hospital Foundation, and on the Portsmouth Economic Development Committee.
Dan earned a master of business administration (MBA) degree and a bachelor of science in business administration degree, both from the University of Rhode Island.
Born and raised in Newport County, Dan and his wife Celine are blessed with big families and many close friends. Not surprisingly, their priorities and activities have always been centered around family, friends, and community.
