Overview
Daniel “Dan” Corrigan is a managing partner and financial advisor in our Middletown, Rhode Island, office, where he focuses on comprehensive financial planning for individuals and families. A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, Dan has more than 40 years of experience in the financial services industry and a deep understanding of how thoughtful planning supports long-term financial confidence.
Dan advises clients across all areas of financial planning, including wealth transfer and philanthropy, proactive income and estate tax planning, retirement cash flow projections, retirement income optimization, insurance needs analyses, debt management, and education funding strategies. He also holds the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential and the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation, issued by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), which supports his integrated approach to tax-aware financial planning.
Before starting at Savant in 2025, Dan founded Corrigan Financial in 1989 and served as its principal shareholder until it joined Savant. Earlier in his career, he practiced public accounting with Ernst & Whinney, now Ernst & Young, and Rooney, Plotkin & Willey, CPAs. This foundation in public accounting continues to inform his practical, detail-oriented guidance for clients navigating complex financial decisions.
Dan maintains active professional involvement as a member of the AICPA, the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Financial Planning Association of Rhode Island. He demonstrates his dedication to community service as a trustee of St. Barnabas Church in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, the Boys and Girls Club of Newport County, and the Newport Hospital Foundation, and he participates on the Portsmouth Economic Development Committee. Dan previously served on the boards of the Newport Hospital Foundation and the Boys and Girls Club of Newport County and held treasurer roles for both organizations.
Dan earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Rhode Island. A lifelong resident of Newport County, he and his wife, Celine, value strong family connections, lasting friendships, and meaningful community involvement.
