The awards, presented by the Birmingham Business Journal, honor individuals 30 or younger who are already making waves in the industry. Honorees are selected based on their contributions to their companies, their role in the industry, the likelihood of them becoming a key leader in the field and their role in the community. An editorial panel at the BBJ selected the winners. Savant did not pay a fee to be considered for this award.
