Galen Rasche is a financial advisor focused on comprehensive financial planning, working out of our Austin, Texas, office. He advises individuals and families on building, managing, and preserving wealth through integrated, goals-based strategies. He started working at Savant in 2026 when Exencial Wealth Advisors joined the firm.
Galen supports clients across a wide range of planning needs, including equity compensation planning, wealth transfer and philanthropy, proactive income and estate tax planning, retirement cash flow projections, retirement income optimization, insurance needs analysis, debt management, and education funding strategies. His technical background helps him translate complex financial scenarios into clear, actionable recommendations.
As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, he transitioned into the financial planning profession in 2022 after a successful career of more than 15 years in cybersecurity and engineering, bringing a highly analytical and detail-driven approach to client planning. He began his financial planning career as a paraplanner and advanced into a wealth advisor role in 2024.
Galen earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Kentucky. He went on to earn a Master of Science (MS) in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Kentucky.
He actively supports the financial planning profession and alumni communities. Galen serves on the board of the Financial Planning Association’s Austin chapter and participates on its NexGen Committee, where he helps career changers navigate the financial planning industry. He also serves as president of the Greater Austin Illini Club, promoting alumni engagement and supporting scholarship efforts for Central Texas students attending the University of Illinois.
Galen and his wife have two children. He enjoys traveling, running, and mountain biking.
