James’s Approach
James Scally

Financial Advisor / Member Owner
Overview
James “Jim” Scally serves as a financial advisor in Savant’s Woburn, Massachusetts, office. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, he guides individuals and families on wealth transfer, philanthropy, income and estate tax strategies, retirement income planning, insurance analysis, debt management, and education funding.
Jim grew up in Stoneham, Massachusetts, and discovered his passion for financial markets early. In sixth grade, his team won a statewide stock market competition, setting up the trajectory for his future career. After he graduated from college, he built a strong foundation at a large institutional bank but always envisioned contributing to a growing, entrepreneurial firm. When he met Heritage Financial founder Chuck Bean, he recognized the opportunity he had been looking for. Jim later joined Heritage and became its managing partner and chief culture officer until it joined Savant in 2026.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts.
When he isn’t meeting with clients, he stays busy with family and community. He and his wife are proud parents of three children. A two-time captain of his college track team, he remains an avid runner. Jim also volunteers with several local organizations, including Boston Children’s Hospital.
