Overview
Maxwell “Max” Khalfayan is a financial advisor in our Middletown, Rhode Island, office, where he provides comprehensive financial planning and wealth management services for individuals and families.
As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Max helps clients navigate complex financial decisions through integrated planning strategies. His areas of focus include wealth transfer, charitable giving, proactive income and estate tax planning, retirement cash flow projections, retirement income strategies, insurance analysis, debt management, and education funding.
Max has been involved in the financial services industry since 2018 and combines financial planning and accounting experience that he brings to his work with clients. Before joining Savant, he was a member of the financial planning team at Corrigan Financial from 2022 until the firm joined Savant in 2025. Earlier in his career, he worked in public accounting as an audit manager with Ernst & Young in New York City, where he audited asset management firms and developed a strong foundation in financial analysis and reporting.
Committed to professional and community engagement, Max is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Financial Planning Association. He also serves on the Planned Giving Advisory Council for Lifespan hospitals, helping support charitable and philanthropic initiatives in the community, and is on the board of directors for the Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce.
Max earned both a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Rhode Island.
When he is not working with clients, Max enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing golf, traveling, and following his favorite sports teams, including the Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics, and New Orleans Saints. During the summer, he enjoys spending time along the beaches of Newport, Rhode Island.
