Michael R. McGlashen

Michael McGlashen is a senior business development officer at our Westlake Village, California, office. He began working at Savant in 2026 when Exencial Wealth Advisors joined the firm. Michael joined Exencial in 2020 following the merger of his firm, Bucks County Financial Planning Group, into Exencial.

Michael began his career in Philadelphia, where he founded and operated a diversified business services company encompassing private postal services, secretarial support, business assistance, wholesale office supplies, and on-site printing. After successfully selling the business, he took a few years off and traveled the country, eventually ending up in Maui, Hawaii. While there, he decided to go back to school.

After graduating summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in communication and being a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Michael earned his Juris Doctor (JD) from the University of Florida College of Law. While in law school, he clerked for Florida’s 8th Judicial Circuit, Probate Division, and qualified for the college’s Estate Planning Certificate. Furthering his expertise, he completed postdoctoral certificates in real estate development and real estate finance at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Additionally, he is a Certified Exit Planning Advisor® (CEPA®).

Following law school, Michael spent nine years as a senior advisor at Capital Planning Advisory Group before founding Bucks County Financial Planning Group, Inc. Beyond his professional practice, Michael is a U.S. Army Reserve veteran and a dedicated community leader who has served on numerous boards.
