Randall’s Approach
Randall J. Richard
CEPA®, MBA
Managing Partner / Financial Advisor / Member Owner
Overview
Randall Richard serves as a managing partner and financial advisor at Savant’s South Portland, Maine, office. For more than 30 years, Randall has helped business owners and families navigate life’s biggest financial decisions. Drawing on his experience as both a successful entrepreneur and financial advisor, he provides practical guidance, thoughtful planning, and a long-term perspective that helps clients navigate important financial decisions.
Randall co-founded Richard Brothers in 1996 and led the organization until it joined Savant in 2026. He built the organization on the belief that financial planning should simplify life’s complexities, not add to them. That belief shaped a culture grounded in integrity, education, respect, and a commitment to doing what is right for clients. Through disciplined planning and lasting relationships, Randall and his team helped generations of families make informed decisions with greater clarity.
As an entrepreneur, Randall understands firsthand the opportunities and challenges owners face. Throughout his career, he founded and operated organizations spanning investment management, securities, insurance, and real estate. These experiences allow Randall to help entrepreneurs think strategically about growth, succession, and the decisions that shape what comes next. He is also the author of Keeping Wealth in the Family, which reflects his belief that meaningful wealth planning is built not only on financial strategy, but also on communication, shared values, and a clear vision for the future.
A lifelong learner, Randall has continually invested in his own growth through programs such as Strategic Coach. He believes in giving back to his profession and community through active involvement with organizations that support education, family-owned businesses, and local initiatives. He has served on the boards of the Kennebunk School, the Institute for Family-Owned Business, and the Purpoodock Club, and supports organizations including the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, the Dempsey Center, and the American Red Cross.
Randall earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Southern New Hampshire University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Suffolk University in Boston. He holds the Certified Exit Planning Advisor® (CEPA®) designation.
When he’s not working with clients, Randall enjoys spending time outdoors through forestry, gardening, golf, skiing, and motorcycle riding.
