Ryan Movahed

Ryan Movahed serves as manager of accounting & business advisory in Savant’s Rockford, Illinois, Fincham office. He works with mid-market and nonprofit organizations, with the goal of helping clients strengthen accounting operations, improve financial reporting processes, and support tax compliance and planning strategies.

Before joining Savant, Ryan held audit and advisory roles with KPMG, RSM, and Grant Thornton. He also served as an accountant at Amazon and as controller at Seattle Pacific University, bringing experience from both public accounting and industry environments.

He helps businesses formalize accounting practices that support operational performance, financial visibility, and regulatory requirements. He works closely with clients through financial statement audits, reviews, and attestation engagements, while helping organizations evaluate structures and processes that may help improve efficiency and reduce tax liabilities.

Ryan earned a bachelor’s degree in accountancy from Illinois State University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

He remains active in the Northern Illinois community as a member of the board of trustees for the Community Foundation of Northern Illinois and a member of the board of elders at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Rockton, Illinois.

Ryan and his wife, Ana, enjoy an active lifestyle that includes running and soccer. After spending several years in Washington state, he continues to pursue trail running and outdoor recreation while calling Northern Illinois home.
