Scott Floersheim serves as a managing partner and financial advisor in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he focuses on wealth management and tax-aware strategies for high-net-worth individuals, near-retirees, and retirees. Scott has more than 40 years of financial industry experience, where he’s helped clients align investment, estate, and cash flow planning with long-term tax efficiency.
Scott built his career integrating taxes with financial planning. He began as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 1986, launched his own CPA practice in 1990, expanded into comprehensive financial planning in 1997, and became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional in 1999. In 2006, he founded Meridian Wealth Advisors, which was a registered investment advisor firm dedicated to fee-only, fiduciary wealth management. He began working at Savant in 2026 when Meridian joined the firm.
Clients rely on Scott to help structure strategies that reduce lifetime tax exposure across income, gift, and estate considerations. He holds the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) credential, is a Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®), and is a Retirement Management Advisor® (RMA®). He prioritizes clear, data-driven recommendations that help families preserve wealth across generations.
Scott earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of New Mexico. He remains active in his community as a member of the Endowment Committee for Albuquerque Academy. He supports several charitable organizations, including local food banks, the New Mexico Animal Humane Association, the Morris Animal Foundation, and the Albuquerque BioPark.
Family and personal interests play an important role in Scott’s life. He has been married for more than 25 years and enjoys traveling with his wife, daughter, and their dog throughout the western United States. They enjoy hiking in New Mexico and Colorado, and he rides his Peloton daily. Scott also keeps up lifelong hobbies, including collecting comic books and baseball cards.
