Stephen “Steve” Lorence is a financial advisor based in Savant’s Rockford, Illinois, headquarters, where he focuses on comprehensive financial planning for individuals and families. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, he works closely with clients on wealth transfer and philanthropy, proactive income and estate tax planning, retirement cash flow projections, retirement income optimization, insurance needs analyses, debt management, and education funding strategies.
Involved in the financial services industry since 2013, Steve joined Savant after working at a nationwide financial advisory firm, where he served as a relationship manager and guided clients through the financial planning process. His background supports a thoughtful, organized approach that helps clients align their financial decisions with long-term goals.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance with a focus on financial services and management from Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas.
Beyond his client work, Steve remains active in the Rockford community. He serves on the board of trustees at the Burpee Museum of Natural History, supporting its mission to educate and engage the public through science and history. A longtime sports and fitness enthusiast, Steve enjoys staying active at the gym and spending time outdoors. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and two young boys.
