Savant Wealth Management Named #7 on Top 20 RIA Leader by Financial Planning
Savant Wealth Management has been recognized by Financial Planning as one of the top 20 fee-only RIAs in the nation by assets under management (AUM) for 2023. Savant landed the number seven spot on the “RIA Leaders 2023” list, with approximately $17 billion in AUM, jumping from the No. 13 spot in 2022.
According to Financial Planning, this year’s top 20 RIAs stood out amongst the nearly 2,800 RIAs meeting its criteria because they exemplify the importance of being able to offer clients planning in more areas than investments alone. In addition to the steady pace of M&A deals, these RIAs are helping to provide more impactful and comprehensive approaches for clients’ financial well-being.
“We are honored to be recognized by Financial Planning as one of the leading fee-only RIAs in the U.S.,” said Brent Brodeski, CPA, CFP®, CFA®, MBA, CEO of Savant Wealth Management. “Our improved ranking on this year’s list is a direct result of our strategic M&A approach – attracting like-minded firms with a focus on retaining top-performing talent paired with a desire to grow and be part of creating a best-in-class, employee-owned and led RIA firm.”
Savant’s strategic M&A approach and comprehensive financial planning are working in tandem to help achieve its goal of three-to-five times growth over the next five years. The firm’s deep bench of in-house estate, tax, accounting, financial, retirement plan, trust and investment specialists offers clients a one-stop shop experience to clients and is a major differentiator for the firm. In addition, since Savant is employee led and controlled, it is well-positioned to attract top talent.
The list of Financial Planning’s top 20 RIAs was based on firms’ SEC Form ADV filings in July 2023, in addition to the following criteria:
- Firms must have zero registered representatives of a broker-dealer
- At least 50 percent of the firm’s clients must be individuals or high net worth individuals
- Firms must not list commissions as a compensation arrangement
- Firms must have more than zero financial planning clients
- Firms must not list commission-taking businesses in “other business activities”
- Firms cannot be affiliated under common ownership with commission-taking businesses
