Savant Wealth Management’s Chief Investment Officer Named CIO of the Year By RIA Intel
– Award Recognizes Top Performers in the Financial Advice Industry –
Savant Wealth Management is pleased to announce that RIA Intel, which provides news and commentary about the biggest and fastest growing RIA firms, named Savant’s Chief Investment Officer, Phil Huber, CFP®, CFA®, as its 2023 CIO of the year. RIA Intel announced the award at a celebration in Boston on Wed., June 7. Huber was one of six finalists for the award, for which there is no nomination or application fee.
RIA Intel chose its finalists in 11 categories based on input from its editorial team and the RIA Institute’s advisory board, a 24-member group of professionals from North America’s premier RIAs. Winners were selected at the discretion of RIA Intel’s editors, informed by their reporting, conversations with peers and industry leaders, and the RIA Institute advisory board.
Huber joined Savant in 2020 after Savant acquired Lincolnshire, IL-based Huber Financial Advisors, LLC, an RIA firm founded in 1988 by David Huber, Phil Huber’s father, and where Phil served as CIO. David Huber, CFP®, now a financial advisor and managing director at Savant, attended the award ceremony with his son.
“What made the ceremony even more memorable was having my dad there,” said Phil. “My dad is the reason I got into this business in the first place, and it was great that he was able to celebrate and share the moment with me.”
In addition to his role as CIO at Savant, Phil Huber is also the author of The Allocator’s Edge: A Modern Guide to Alternative Investments and the Future of Diversification, and the creator of the Bps and Pieces blog. He has worked in the financial services industry since 2007.
