Zach Ivey is Savant’s chief investment officer, leading the firm’s investment strategy and research out of our Birmingham, Alabama, office. He oversees the investment team, drives portfolio construction and asset allocation, and collaborates with advisors to help provide research-driven, evidence-based investment guidance for individuals, families, and institutions.
With more than 20 years in financial services, Zach focuses on building an investment experience designed to help clients make clear, disciplined decisions in complex markets. Before joining Savant, he served as a partner and chief investment strategist at Bridgeworth until it joined with Savant in 2023. Earlier in his career, he directed planning for a national planning firm, advising financial advisors on how to translate capital markets research into practical planning and investment strategies.
Zach earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Mississippi State University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional. He belongs to the Chartered Financial Analyst Society of Alabama and the Financial Planning Association.
Deeply committed to service and leadership, Zach serves as board chairman for Young Business Leaders and as a resource parent at Big Oak Ranch, which supports abused and abandoned children. He is an elder at Briarwood Presbyterian Church, is married to his high school sweetheart, and has three children.
