David A. Miosi

David Miosi is a senior manager of accounting & business advisory in Savant’s Rockford, Illinois, Fincham office, where he focuses on tax planning and compliance for individuals, businesses, and nonprofit organizations, including multistate taxation.

A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), David helps clients navigate complex tax matters, identify compliance concerns and tax-saving opportunities, evaluate the tax implications of business decisions, and prepare for changes in federal, state, and local tax laws. He serves clients across a variety of industries, including manufacturing, construction, real estate, healthcare, and nonprofit organizations.

David began his public accounting career in 2012 as an audit and tax intern with Wipfli LLP. He advanced through several roles during his tenure with the firm and was promoted to tax manager before departing in 2023. He then joined Summit CPA Group as a senior manager, where he led tax planning and compliance engagements, reviewed tax returns, mentored team members, advised clients, and helped enhance departmental processes and technology. He began working at Savant in 2026 when Summit CPA Group joined the firm.

In addition to leading complex tax engagements and advising clients on strategic tax planning opportunities, David has played a key role in developing tax professionals, supporting software implementations, and creating employee training programs.

David earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Illinois CPA Society (ICPAS).

When he’s not working with clients, David enjoys staying active by running races, hiking, attending festivals, and tackling projects around the house.
