Matthew “Matt” Armstrong serves as a financial advisor at Savant’s Rockford, Illinois, headquarters, where he focuses on comprehensive financial planning and retirement strategies. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®), and Chartered Retirement Plans SpecialistSM (CRPS®), Matt combines technical knowledge with a client-first approach to help individuals and families work toward their financial goals.
Involved in the financial industry since 2005, Matt is knowledgeable in multiple areas of financial planning, including wealth transfer and philanthropy, proactive income and estate tax planning, retirement cash flow projections, retirement income optimization, insurance needs analyses, debt management, and education funding. His commitment to personalized planning helps clients develop strategies tailored to their unique circumstances.
Active in the Rockford community, Matt is a member of the Cosmo Club of Rockford and serves on the club’s charities board. He previously earned the Cosmopolitan International President of the Year Award in 20101. The Rockford Chamber of Commerce recognized him as one of its 2010 “40 Leaders Under 40.”2 He is also a graduate of Leadership Rockford and the Rockford Leadership Alliance.
Matt earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a marketing emphasis from Augsburg University in Minneapolis. Born and raised in the Rockford area, he now lives in South Beloit, Illinois, with his wife, Natalie, and their two children, Lily and Harrison. Outside of work, Matt enjoys sports, history, grilling, and spending time outdoors. A former college golfer, he still loves hitting the links whenever he can.

Savant did not pay a fee to participate in this ranking.
2 2010 Chamber of Commerce 40 Leaders Under Forty: This annual ranking published in June 2010 is based on awarding leaders chosen from various professional fields who have distinguished themselves in their professional field or organization. Candidates for Savant were nominated by employees of their organization. Savant is a member of the Chamber and pays an annual membership fee. Savant was not required to pay to participate or win. Candidates are not required to work for Chamber member organizations, preference is given to those who do.
