Overview
Matthew “Matt” Pelzer, a manager of accounting & business advisory in our Iowa City, Iowa, office, helps families and small business owners navigate tax planning and compliance strategies that help support their long-term financial goals.
Matt joined Savant in 2022 when Terry Lockridge & Dunn joined the firm. In 2020, he began working full-time at Terry Lockridge & Dunn after completing three tax season internships with the firm. His background gives him insight into the tax challenges individuals and business owners may face throughout different stages of growth.
As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Matt works with clients to identify tax-saving opportunities, address changing tax regulations, and develop strategies designed to align with their financial goals.
Matt earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, and management from Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Away from work, Matt enjoys golfing, running, and spending time with his family.
