Senior Investment Strategist / Client Advisor
Michael Waldron serves as a senior investment strategist and client advisor in Savant’s Westwood, Massachusetts, office. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) charterholder, he has led teams and managed institutional-grade, multi-asset portfolios. Michael’s approach combines endowment-style investment discipline with modern portfolio design, risk management, and governance. He focuses on asset allocation, portfolio construction, private markets, and alternative investment strategies.
Michael graduated summa cum laude with bachelor’s degrees in finance and liberal studies with a minor in economics from Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts. He began his career at Harvard Management Company, the investment organization responsible for managing the endowment and pension assets of Harvard University. During his time there, he worked on institutional investment strategies, including the use of derivatives and portfolio overlays.
In 2014, Michael joined Heritage Financial Services, where he helped lead the firm’s strategic asset allocation process and regularly presented to the investment committee on strategy, performance attribution, and portfolio risk. During this time, he also completed the Charles Schwab Executive Leadership Program and the Abudi Consulting Group Management Training Program, focusing on leadership, talent development, innovation, and strategic communication. He started working at Savant in 2026 when Heritage joined the firm.
He serves on the Board of Trustees of Lasell Village in Newton, Massachusetts, where he is a member of the Investment, Nominating and Audit Committees, contributing to investment oversight and board governance.
Michael and his wife, Vasilina, have two children, Vanessa and Marshall. In his spare time, he enjoys history and biography and has read extensively on U.S. presidents. He also enjoys traveling with his family.
